Gay news; Catholics to fast against gay marriage, anti-gay assault in Hell’s Kitchen and justice in Salt Lake City

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Portland, Maine is encouraging the State’s Catholics to take part in a 40-day prayer and fasting campaign to convince God to stop Gay Marriage. In the Netherlands the Catholic church would not even say things like that anymore for being ridiculed, the one in the U.S. seems as strict and anti-gay as the Vatican. I think that a God that made people gay, would want them to be able to get married.

In the Hell’s Kitchen area of NYC right in front of McCoys bar, a gay man and his friends were attacked in an anti-gay assault. A cigarette was thrown at them and when they turned around a man told them” Keep moving, Faggot”. words were exchanged and then the man threw one gay man against a car, denting it and punched another one a few times on his lip. That this happened in a gay-friendly part of Manhattan is a shock in itself but more so that the NYPD came and did nothing, no arrest not even taken the guy’s information. I knew cops all over the U.S treat gays badly but in Manhattan??

In Salt Lake City a gay man,D.J. Bell has been acquitted of burglary and kidnapping charges in a case jurors called a waste of time. Two kids age 2 and 4 came to their gay neighbors house because their Polynesian family Latu had a rowdy drunken party all night and the kids could not sleep and felt unsafe. When the family later found out that the kids were at the gay couple’s house, they severely beat up the gay couple. The defense team is now looking into filing charges against Bell’s attackers. It’s unbelievable this case even went to court, the Latu family should be going to jail themselves.

Man tries “pumping iron" with penis

In Newport Beach firefighter had to be called to save a man’s penis that got stuck in the hole of a steel dumbbell. The man was trying to enlarge his penis with it. It had swollen to five times its original size(see, it works, people!!!) He originally refused treatment but after medical personnel told the man this the flesh of his penis would die if he would not remove it quickly he agreed. Fire fighters were busy two hours to cut with a saw through the metal ring. Ouch!!

Kimiko Date Krumm oldest WTA title winner since 1983

The Japanese woman who turns 39 tomorrow won the tour title in Seoul today. Last year she made a comeback at the smaller ITF tournaments and this year she tried at the bigger tournaments but mostly because of the really hard draws she kept getting, she had not won a first round this year. That happened for the first time this week and she did a lot more than just winning 1 round. By beating Pavlyuchenko, Hantuchova, Kirilenko and Medina Garrigues she beat 4 top 30 players in a row. Her quick style of playing with great angles(typical asian style) proved too much for the other girls. Since Billie Jean King in 1983 a woman that old had not won. Amazing!!

Teacher fired for gay nude pics

An allegedly straight and hunky teacher of the Harvey Grammar school in Kent was fired after naked pictures of him  on a gay website resurfaced. One pupil got it sent to him via a link on facebook and then it spread like wildfire through the school. The 25-year-old teacher came to school not knowing anything but was quickly shipped to the principal's office and asked to leave. The pics were not pornographic but too much for the school none the less. I actually think the teacher should be happy being fired because I think the kids would have never let him forget about this one. He is probably better off now!!

I am not at all a big fan of Renee Zellweger but as Bridget Jones she did a good job in the past. For the new Bridget Jones movie though she does not wanna gain weight again like she did the other 2 times. She will be wearing a fat suit, how lame!!!. As a reason her publicist says that losing the weight was hard the second time and it’s bad for the body. Well, at least she already has a bloated puffy face so that makes it easier to believe. 

Kirk Cameron, aka Mike Seaver from “Growing Pains” used to melt many girls and guys’ hearts during his sitcom days. My boyfriend actually had a big crush on him back in the day. As cute as he was then, now everything that comes out of his mouth is a lot less hot. I knew he was a christian fanatic but the things he said the past week where just ridiculous. First he wants to go and  crusade at schools that teach evolution because it’s wrong and he calls Darwin a vagina-hater and a racist. He also says Hitler’s actions were inspired by Darwin. Somebody sure looks a lot better with his mouth closed.

Apparently the Sex and the City set is not all fun and games. According to reports Sarah Jessica Parker(Carrie) and Kim Cattrall(Samantha) still dislike each other and so much that they refuse to talk to each other on the set leaving everyone uncomfortable. Both are really stressed, SJP because of her young son and baby twins at home. It’s always hard to believe that people playing best friends in a show hate each other that much.

Three icons of the 90’s are making a comeback!! Heather Locklear will be reprising her role as Amanda Woodward in the new Melrose Place. The Spice Girls might reunite and go back on tour again and Robbie Williams will perform with Take That again in the original line-up. Brings back good memories!!

Poor John Travolta. Still trying to cope with the death of his son, he now has to testify about it all against the people who tried to extort money from him right after his son’s death(a paramedic and a lawyer). He already talked about reviving his son and his son’s autism yesterday. I hope the horrible people who were trying to make money of the Travolta’s at such a horrible time will go to jail long!!!

The View host Joy Behar proved once again she is a friendly voice to the gay community. She wrote an article for CNN in which she confronts the minister of sports, family and youth who did not approve of Elton John adopting a baby from an orphanage in the Ukraine. She says “family doesn’t mean a huddle of orphans sharing a soiled mattress, it;s not youth if you die of aids before you reach kindergarten and wrestling over dinner scraps is not a sport. And that is Lev’s faith now that the Ukrainian government said Elton and David can’t adopt him. They say it’s because they are too old, but it’s probably because they are too gay”. Amen!!! Joy is as usual totally right on again.

Gay news; Maine bigots use kids as excuse again, Mika bi, bullfighting to become gayer

In Maine the battle on marriage equality is raging on heavily. And of course the bigots use lies again in their ads. In a new ad they say that the gay movement says gay marriage has nothing to do with school, but according to them it has everything to do with school. A worried mother and father said there 8-year old kid came home and told them he learned at school a man can marry a man. This is a lie firstly, but secondly is it so bad if a kid would learn that at school??. Will his world collapse, will he turn gay immediately?? Some of my nephews know about me being with my boyfriend since age 5 and they are absolutely fine with it. If a parent does not make a big deal out of it, neither do the kids.

Singer Mika talked to dutch magazine Gay&Night and told them he “never limits himself, so also not to whom he sleeps with”. So if someone wants to label him ” Call me bisexual”. But he still recommends being label-less. He picked a good day to do this, september 23 was ‘Celebrate Bi-sexuality day’. Someone commented on this: “Sure, girl, you are bi, me too!! He is just afraid to lose female fans.” I kind of agree with that comment. While I surely believe people can be bi-sexual, I highly doubt Mika is one of them. Still love his music though!

Spanish matador Joselito Ortega is about to gay up bullfighting, literally. He will be plugging a club-scene energy drink called Gay Up and will have these words embroidered in his cape in large letters. Top bullfighters are seen as macho celebrities in Spain so this is quite controversial. Ortega thinks it would be nice if he would be a symbol for the gay community.

Anna Nicole Smith’s former psychiatrist and Khristine Eroshevich and internist Sandeep Kapoor are in deep trouble. Both were having extremely unprofessional relationships with Anna Nicole. Khristine was seen naked in a tub with Anna and Kapoor shirtless and kissing with her. Both had also asked so many drugs for her that three pharmacists refused to fill their prescriptions for Anna because they thought it might kill her. It’s a pity Anna did not get the professional help she needed, those two people failed on all accounts. The difference between Anna Nicole and Michael Jackson is that I think Anna would have been able to lead a fairly normal life with the right people around her at a later age and Michael was probably already too screwed up from his youth.

Wow, MacKenzie Phillips from “One day at a time” and daughter of the founder of The Mamas and the Papas, John Phillips, told some shocking details of her youth to Oprah. She and her father had an incestuous relationship and he was also the first one to inject heroin into her arm. No wonder she is still so screwed up and a druggie, girl never had chance in hell to a normal life.

Amy Winehouse has been terrorizing school kids in Camden!! She stormed into a school in South London yesterday and confronted the bully of god-daughter. She cursed the girl out and later spat in her face. She then started screaming at some of the other kids at the school before cooling down and signing some autographs. Perez Hilton called her a bad role model and she is but I can kind of understand her. If one of my nephews would have been teased at school I might have done the same, except for the spitting/signing autographs!! that is.

Justine Henin announces comeback

After weeks of rumors Justine made it official yesterday, she is gonna start playing on the WTA tour again next season at least until the Olympics of 2012. When she quit in may 2008, she was ready to start a family and be busy with other things. She also missed the fire for the sport. After recharging her battery and realizing she is not ready for a family yet, she re-hired former coach Rodriguez to make a comeback. While I am not as big of a Justine fan as I am from Kim, I am super excited about the comeback. Justine is an extraordinary talented player with a great game that is a feast for the eyes, something the women’s tour desperately needs right now. Her personality is not as nice as Kim’s, but Justine is a fighter and showed some great improvement in behavior at the end of her career. Belgium is all of a sudden the biggest name in women’s tennis again, together with the U.S.

Gay news, Bush not as anti-gay as presumed, former gay vultures get chickens, reading Playboy makes you gay

George Bush’s speech-writer has written a tell-all about his time for Bush and according to him the following took place. At a speech in 2008 Ed Gillespie wanted to insert a few lines condemning gay marriage and Bush refused telling him “I’m not gonna tell some gay kid in the audience that he can’t get married”. I always thought that Bush wasn’t that anti-gay but just did what he thought others in the Republican Party wanted him to say. Of course this doesn’t change that he won his 2004 election saying he was against gay marriage and that he was a terrible President. This though, puts him in a tiny bit of a better light for me.

Two male vultures at Jerusalem Biblical Zoo made headlines ten years ago with their gay romance. They even built a joined nest and the Zoo gave them an egg and later a baby vulture to raise. One of them fell in love with a female later on and left the other one depressed. The other eventually went to another zoo were he also met a female. A weird coincidence happened a while back though. Former tennis star Anna Kournikova and singer Enrique Iglesias are allegedly expecting their first baby. The couple have been together for years and I think they make a great match. Both are really hot, succesful and seems like good people as well. Congrats to them. Another couple having a baby are Erik Dane(Grey’s McSteamy) and his wife Rebecca Gayheart. Hope for the baby they did not smoke crack again in recent months.

I love a man who is so secure of his sexuality that he can follow a course in Queer cinema at New York University. Actor and uber-hottie James Franco(from the movie Milk) will do just that. He will watch the movies” You don’t know Dick”  and “Loads” this syllabus. I think the more a guy is at ease with gays the more secure he is with his own sexual preference. My brother for example is pretty macho and had no problem in the past going to gay bars with me. Insecure guys on the other hand often become gay bashers.

Janice Dickenson was a huge success on the British version of “I’m a celebrity, get me out of here” So much that she was asked to host the show this season. Lucky Brits, when Janice is on it always promises fireworks. She seems to make a career out of reality lately. She has her own model show, was on ANTM for years, was on “I’m a celebrity” in both the UK and the US. Last week I saw her on a glitter, glamour show for dutch TV, with her new young fireman boyfriend, and yesterday she was on the Dutch version of Top Model. The thing is, I never get fed up seeing her!! Love that woman!

Woman survives being impaled by 13-inch tree branch in neck

Fox news reported about this last Wednesday and the pictures look horrible. 22-year -old Michelle Childers went on a trip through the forests in Northern Idaho when a tree branch came crashing through their window in her neck. She did not even realize what happened and asked her husband where the tree branch went. An hour later they found a lodge where a helicopter picked her up and brought her to the nearest hospital where a 6 hour operation removed the branch. It looks so horrible and painful, it’s almost unbelievable.

Toddler treats other kids coke

A toddler in New Jersey brought coke to his daycare. The father of the 4-year-old put the coke in the kid’s coat after being afraid to get caught by police and told the kid it was candy. The kid gave the baggies to other kids at daycare where a teacher saw it and called police. Luckily no one of the kids got sick and the dad is in jail. Hope he loses custody, this is just ridiculous.

No gay pride in Belgrade, Serbia

The highly anticipated gay pride in Belgrade did not take place yesterday. The organizers canceled because of threats from right-extremist groups. According to police the groups would use stones and molotov-cocktails. In the days prior to the planned event anti-gay messages were seen on buildings all across Belgrade. The parade would have had 1000 participants and was the first since 2001. It was also seen as a test in how far Serbia would fit with the EU.

I think Serbia does not belong to the EU, because they are clearly not civilized enough. The EU is big enough and does not need backwards countries like that.

Safe sex makes you depressed

Professor Stuart Brody from Scotland says unsafe sex is better for you. Unless you are gay, then not. He did a survey in Portugal and safe sex gave people stress, depression and bad overall mental health. He says the reason for that is that human beings are programmed to enjoy unsafe sex because it gives people an evolutionary lead and increases the chance on procreation.

This might all be true and all, but what if one of the people gets an STD. I think the stress and mental health will be a lot worse than that of a person having safe sex.

What is it with bigots using God’s name to say stupid things and make ridiculous decisions. First there was Arizona Governor Jan Brewer who eliminated state domestic partnerships benefits a year after they were introduced. She says God placed her in the role of Governor and she relies on her faith and prayer to make decisions as a Governor. What about separation of church and state. And then Good Old Carrie Prejean who during a speech to some bigots said that during the Miss USA pageant ‘God had a plan for her’. And ‘God chose her for that moment’ She might have ‘lost the crown but God had a bigger crown for her in heaven.’ Barf, barf. God has more important things to do then care about these two nuts.

Some shocking news  I read yesterday is that there is an epidemic of homeless LGBT youth in New York. Every night gay kids have to hustle for money or a place to sleep. There are 200 beds for homeless LGBT youth to sleep in the country and over 1.000 of them already live in New York. Each year the U.S. has between 575.000 and 1.6 million homeless youth. 20-40% of them identify as LGBT. 26% of youth that comes out gets kicked out of their house and nearly 50% have attempted suicide. That’s truly horrific. There should be more places like the Ali Forney Center in NY.

Apparently hair whorls in men can predict their sexuality!. It seems 4 times as many gay men have their whorl on the back of their head go counter-clockwise as the general public. I have to admit mine does as well!! Then again a while back there was a survey that looked at the ring fingers and the index fingers and said that gays have index fingers that are substantially shorter than their ring fingers. I don’t have that. So what am I, bi??? Ich don’t think so, as Bruno would say.

Gossip; Suzanne Somers is anti-chemo, Will Smith is in denial, Elton could become Lev’s guardian

Suzanne Somers made a ridiculous and in my opinion dangerous comment on the death of Patrick Swayze. According to her ‘poison destroyed this beautiful man and he should have just had better nutrition instead of chemo’. In the Netherlands there is a famous case of a celebrity who refused chemo because some spiritual person said it as only an infection. And there are more examples like this. I think feeding these ideas to people is dangerous. I guess most sane people would get the chemo anyway. It has cured many people.

It seems like Will Smith and his wife Jada are in deep denial. First there are numerous allegations about their sexual orientation (like other Scientology members Tom Cruise and John Travolta) But now even though he keeps denying being a member of Scientology, he donated $122.000 to them last year. A little strange if you are not a member. I personally think Will Smith has a lot of skeletons in his closet but is too afraid of what it will do to his image/career. I personally don’t care one way or the other about Scientology. The only thing I know about them is that I took an IQ test in their center in LA once and scored 130!! In english!! Maybe they just improved the score a bit to make me like them more, but it made my day.

There is a chance for Elton John to be with baby Lev anyway now after first being denied. It would have to be as a guardian in which Elton can invite the boy, his mother and his brother to stay with him in England. The mother would still have the first rights but Elton could take him under his wings. Guess the Ukraine got sick of the bad press they were getting after banning Elton from adopting. Seems difficult, if I was Elton I would think twice about it.

Walmart ruins Arizona family’s life

A couple from Peoria, Az. brought their memory stick into their local Walmart to develop their family pictures. Some of them were from the kids naked or half-naked in bath. Walmart called the police who then accused the couple of sexual abuse and child pornography. The kids were taken away for a month and the mother was unable to work because ironically she is a trained interventionist as a teacher to assist children in family’s where there is abuse.

The police found no evidence for abuse at all and now the parents are filing a lawsuit against the police and Walmart. I hope they win big money because this must have been a truly horrifying experience for them all.

Mertranny in the Netherlands

Kitty Madison was a 15-year old boy when she saw the movie Splash and that completely changed her life. Kitty felt she wasn’t only born the wrong gender but also into the wrong species. First she made a home-made fin with leggings and fins and then she changed her name into Kitty(her neighbor) Madison(Daryl Hannah’s name in Splash) And a little after that she started taking hormones and became a woman. Now she has a custom made fin, special lenses and nose plugs to stay underwater. And she teaches people to swim as a mermaid.

Now I have all the respect and totally believe in people being born the wrong gender, but this seems more like a mentally deluded person. On the other hand as long as she is happy, it’s fine by me.

Everybody seems to hate Kanye West after his idiotic display at the VMA’s the past weekend. Pink, Katy Perry, 50 Cent, John Mayer have all used their Twitter to diss him, but now even President Obama pitched in. He called West a “jackass”  just before his interview with CNBC started, but they do have it on record for everyone to hear!

Kate Gosselin and Paula Deen are apparently in talks to have their own talk show. The women will talk about beauty, gossip and health in a show based upon the website Mom Logic. The same media group behind Ellen and Tyra is behind this, so it seems serious.  Kinda mixed feeling about this, I love Food Network Queen Paula but really dislike Kate Gosselin. 

Burt Reynold is in rehab for an addiction to painkillers. He had back surgery a while back and noticed after a while he could not do without them. I personally think that in the U.S people have to easy access to heavy painkillers and that’s why so many people over there are addicted to then. When I had extreme tooth pain a few months back, the only thing I got was Tylenol and Advil. Me and my bf cursed the people out over here for not giving anything stronger but the good thing about it is, you never hear of anybody over here being addicted to painkillers.

GLBT(and I) news; Caster Semenya suicidal, gay-basher a hero, gays get public lashings in Indonesia

Poor athlete Caster Semenya. After the whole found out she wasn’t 100% woman, the poor girl has been on suicide watch. She feels like a raped person, is afraid of herself and does not want anybody near her. So much drama after such a great achievement. It probably wasn’t worth it at all. I think she really had no idea what was going on inside her body and that she was intersex. Hope she learns to accept herself, this is just super sad .

Alex Myros, a former football player from Canada, got a Red Cross Rescuer Award a few months ago for assisting two other players in pulling two children from a burning car wreck. He is now wanted for the aggravated assault  and attack with a weapon and two death threats on a young gay man from Ontario last week. The gay man is a model manager and after he turned Myros down for not being the model-type, Myros started hitting the man and caused a dislocated shoulder, deep gashes in scalp and neck and ruptured blood vessels in his eyes. He said the man deserved this because he was a faggot. Amazing, from hero to devil in a few months. 

Lawmakers in the Indonesian province of Aceh have made some new laws for gays. Gays are being lashed in public and are subject to 8 years in prison. How horrible that sounds adulterers have it even worse, they are stoned to death.

Some truly sad news to start. Actor Patrick Swayze died yesterday, age 57, after a 2-year battle with pancreatic cancer. He was only given 6 months initially by doctors but called himself a”miracle dude” after living much longer and even shooting a TV-series in the following months. He seemed to be a truly great person and has some amazing films behind his name. He played a drag queen in Too Wong Foo, Thanks for everything and who hasn’t seen the great movie Ghost ,with Whoopie Goldberg and Demi Moore. But he will be most remembered for his role in the musical Dirty Dancing. He sure made many girls and gays fall in love with him in that role, what a hunk.

Everybody was interested in the outcome of the interview between Oprah Winfrey and Whitney Houston but it wasn’t all that. Some interesting tidbits though were that Bobby spit on her during a fight and she hit him back three times under the watchful eye of their daughter. She was addicted to Bobby and could not do anything without him. He resented her more and more for her success and even cut her head of pictures and other childish things like that. Nothing we all didn’t more or less know after seeing “Being Bobby Brown”. Whitney seemed to make up answers as they spoke sometime. Will she stay sober for much longer??, my guess is no.

Gay news; Elton no dad, Islamic militias use internet to kill gays, Jamaican government delusional

Elton John will not be able to adopt baby Lev from the Ukraine. The country’s minister for  Family, Youth and Sports said that. Adoptive parents need to be married and gay marriage does not count in the Ukraine. Single people cannot adopt children from the Ukraine either. And Elton is too old as well, the age difference between parents and baby can only be 45 years. They do like Elton John’s charity work over there though but basically prefer kids to sit in an orphanage, then having the change of a happy childhood with an old queen

According to them gay people can live open and free in Jamaica. Whatever!!! Gay people are getting beat up in that country all the time and sex between two men is still punishable for up to ten year over there. Jamaica is one of those countries that is easy to get to from New York, but some place I will never ever visit.

Kanye West showed what a ridiculous egotistical asshole he is at yesterday’s VMA Awards. Taylor Swift won for best female video and in the middle of her speech he stormed on stage, grabbed her microphone and told the audience that Beyonce should have been the winner because she made the best video of all time leaving poor Taylor Swift  speechless. Beyonce looked mortified as well and later on when she won a prize asked Swift on the stage with her to finish her speech. Who does Kanye West think he is??

Tyra Banks always tells her models show to “smile with your eyes” but she herself also knows how to “kill with her eyes”. Cynthia McFadden from “Nightline” had an interview with Tyra and was beforehand asked to not mention ex America’s Next Top Model judges Paulina Porizkova and Janice Dickenson, who were not very nice about Tyra. Tyra’s publicist said not to go there but she did anyway and Tyra was pissed as hell. Cynthia asked if it was jealousy and Tyra snapped, “Is that what you think?? I did not say it, is that what you think?” Meowww.

Yesterday I already talked about the Serena Williams incident at the US open but since it seems to be everywhere and on everyone’s minds I will talk about it a little more. Serena tried to undo some of the damage by posting a blog entry talking about all the hard times she has had and the death of her sister years and years ago. That must have been a truly sad experience(I felt really bad for them at the time) but that has nothing to do with what happened Saturday. Claims from other people of racism in the tennis world because only the Williams sisters get foot-faults and people were rooting just as much or more for Belgian Kim then Americans Serena and Venus at her home tournament because they are black are also ludicrous. The umpires treat the girls just the same as everyone else and Serena and Venus lack mainstream love with the audience not because of their color but because of the way they act. They are not bubbly, sweet and happy like Kim. A the men’s side the most popular player at the US Open is James Blake and he is not white either. No, I think the real reason for Serena’s outburst  was trying to get Kim out of her concentration and zone. Serena got only furious a short  while after it happened and not right away. She never thought she would get a point penalty as she mentioned herself in press conferences and just tried to drag it out for her own sake. Everyone knows that Serena in most circumstances is mentally more tough then Kim and she just hoped this would totally get to Kim and I think it could have. Luckily the real winner won and Serena was lucky to only be left with a fine to pay after such poor sportsmanship.

US Open; Kim the big winner

een more thrilled about a slam winner like Kim this year then I can remember. I just love everything about her; her smile, nice personality, adorable daughter and of course her game. This was Kim’s sixth final in a slam and her second victory. For a women that only came to the US Open to get some rhythm for next season she did remarkably well.

The first set was a bit topsy turfy with Kim Clijsters quickly leading 2-0, but Wozniacki winning the next 4 games. Kim missed a lot of backhands and many feared yesterday’s match might have taken too much out of her. But she quickly regrouped and won the first set 7-5. The second set was of a very high level were Kim had to fight for her points because Wozniacki typically made very little errors. But girls served great that set but one service break for Kim gave her the match with 6-4. What a great ending to a fantastic 2 weeks of the 2009 US Open.

Elton John might adopt a baby from the Ukraine. Little Lev lives in a foster home in the east of the Ukraine and has stolen Elton’s heart. Even though his partner has wanted kids for a long time Elton did not think it would fit with his lifestyle. Now he has changed his mind, but I wonder if it will all work out. At least in the Netherlands there is an age limit for people who want to adopt and Elton is already 67. I hope it works out for them though, he seems like a good guy.

Mischa Barton came to “the View last week to discuss her mental breakdown and institutionalizing a few weeks back. According to Mischa it was all due to problems with her wisdom teeth. She had surgery gone wrong and a lot of tooth pain and stress from upcoming work. Well, I had my share of tooth problems a few times and even though it can be terrible at times it does not make a sane person go literally insane. Doing too much drugs though, definitely can.

Selling sex toys is still illegal in Alabama. The Supreme Court ruled 7-2 to uphold the ban because selling sex toys is morally offensive. People can have them in private but distribution is not allowed. What age do they live in over there!!??

US Open, Kim-back continues after severe drama

Let’s start with the semi-final match itself between Serena Williams and Kim Clijsters, because no-one seems to talk about that. It was a great match on a very high level where Kim made sure Serena never got into her groove by playing aggressive herself and hitting the balls very deep. The match had some fantastic rallies and the longer they lasted the more likely that Kim came out on top. Now onto the drama. After Serena lost the first set she smacked her racket and got her first warning. At 6-5 for Kim in the second Serena got a foot fault which gave Kim the match point. If the foot fault was fair people are still discussing, but Serena showed her true self by yelling at the lines person” I swear to God, I will take this ball and push it down your throat”. And after that she said she was gonna kill the woman. Serena got her second warning and lost the point and the match. Not very Jehovah’s Witness-like don’t you think. Serena is just a sore loser and trailer trash. Because of this Kim never got the perfect ending to one of the best matches of her career, something she really deserved. But Kim stayed classy as usual and did not trash Serena afterwards. 

Kim will play the final of the US open against Danish teen Caroline Wozniacki, who played a solid match against Yanina Wickmayer and made sure the make very little errors. That was enough yesterday night to make it to her very first slam final.I think though that if she wants to beat Kim she has to do a little more. Kim is the favorite after beating both Williams-sisters in her first slam after a 2 year pregnancy absence, but Wozniacki’ error-less game is not something to think light about. How fantastic would it be if Kim took the trophy home??!! Both Denmark and Belgium will sure be proud of their ladies!

A man from Sacramento came up with something really good. A ban on divorce!!He is gonna stand in front of Wal-Mart’s in the area to ask people to sign a petition for traditional marriage. He is gonna interview people on why they think marriage is important and then say he wants to ban divorce. If people who were voting against prop 8 really don’t do it to take right away from gays then they should sign this petition as well. He wants to have it on the ballot in 2010.

An honorary consul for the British queen in Jamaica has been killed in a brutal anti-gay killing. The man was married but lived separated and  as a bi-sexual. He was an escort for the queen a few times while she was in Jamaica. John Terry was strangled and robbed in his own house. Police found a letter on the body calling him a “batty” man(slang for homosexual) and  ”this will happen to all gays”. I knew Jamaica was anti-gay, but this is really getting out of hand. Hope something will be done about this now, unfortunately too late for the poor man.

What the fuck is up with the police forces lately. After the much talked about raid of a gay bar in Texas a few weeks back, now the same sorta thing happened in Atlanta. Both patrons and staff was arrested and handcuffed and the way it happened was very derogatory and insulting. Cops were looking for drugs while people were forced to lay on the ground and were searched in a very aggressive manner.  A rally was held yesterday-night in protest to the raid. Do cops get any diversity training at all in the U.S???

World Champion on the women’s 800m athletics, Caster Semenya did not cheat with hormones but she does have a medical issue. She is intersex, has no uterus, no ovaries but internal male testes that produce the high levels of testosterone. For the first time in history a drag- queen will be singing the national anthem at a baseball match. The lucky ‘gal’ is Donna Sachet and of course this will happen in San Francisco at a game of the SF Giants. This will all go down September 29.

After thousand of people sound a petition calling for an apology from the British Government for the death of mathematician Alan Turing, Gordon Brown did just that yesterday. Turing was the father of modern computing and devised the Turing Bombe, a code breaking device to decipher Nazi enigma codes. He was also gay though and was eventually convicted for gross indecency and had to undergo hormone treatment. He killed himself with a cyanide-laced apple. He was a real war hero and it’s so sad that because of who he was he was treated to ridicule.

Some pro-gay religious billboards have caused quite an uproar with the Dallas/Forth Worth community. Along interstate I30 messages like ” Ruth Loved Naomi as Adam loved Eve”, ” The early church welcomed a gay man” and Jesus affirmed a gay couple” are there to be seen for all. I think it’s a good thing because I believe that if there is a God and Jesus they would love gay people as they do straight people, of course some others are disgusted by the billboards.

Sex and the City spoilers

I have a few Sex and the City spoilers for you guys. So if you do not wanna know what’s going to happen, don’t read any further. Carrie’s gay friend Stanford and Charlotte’s gay friend Anthony are gonna get married. This kind of bugs me because even though I know straight girls love to see these two together, I can’t see it. They both look like queeny bottoms so not a good match. Then again Stanford has always had more  feminine-acting  partners. The ballet dancer and the guy that collected dolls. Anthony though, would never pick Stanford. I saw the guy that plays Anthony, Mario Cantone, this year on Broadway with is comedy routine and he is hilarious. Another spoiler is the girls go back to the 80’s where Carrie is dressed like Madonna, Samantha is dressed as Dee Snider from Twisted Sister  and Miranda channels her inner Sally Jesse Raphael sans glasses. And the most revealing story line is that Big is gonna move to London after losing tons of money through the recession and has an affair with a woman there and after Carrie break up with him she finds out  that she is pregnant. Wow.

A christian mega-church in Florida had all it’s 10 Pepsi vending machines removed of the premises because Pepsi supports the homosexual lifestyle. The reason for that is Pepsi’s donation to fight prop 8. Now they have changed to Coca-Cola, but apparently they do not know Coca Cola also supports full-equality.

My sister-in-law lives in Missouri so when I read something about there I always am extra interested. Well, the city council of Springfield(her favorite shopping city) is gonna remove a gay sex solicitation law of 1976. Until now it was unlawful for any person in a public place to invite or entice a person of the same gender for sex. Even though this law was not really enforced anymore it was time to have it removed, it was just too ridiculous for words in the year 2009. 

Republican’s like to talk dirty. California Assembly man Michael Duvall, who is against gay marriage and portrayed himself as a “family values’ guy has resigned after a rather embarrassing  incident. The married father of two did not know he was talking in an open mic when speaking about affairs with female lobbyists. He told one of the girls was wearing eye-patch underwear and she told him when she walked down the stairs he was “leaking out of her”. What a great family man this is, I bet his kids and wife are super proud.

US Open day 10, Leave the zit alone and give me a kiss

Rafael Nadal had a male fan come real close to him after his match. He took of his shirt an a guy approached him with a camera and tried to give him a kiss. The man was arrested and removed from the premises. Kinda weird a thing like this can happen, what was security doing. We don;t want another Monica Seles incident. Nadal thought it was all cool, he said the man was a fan, told him he loved him and just wanted a kiss.No problem. Well, if Rafa is so easy about it, here I come.

Kim Clijsters had a funny video on her youtube blog explaining what the large wound under her eye was. Me and apparently many people with me had been wondering about it and Kim decided to tell the slightly embarrassing truth. She had a large zit there, tried to burn it away with some product and instead burned her good skin with it as well. Could totally be something that I would do, in fact I tried it once with lemon acid and it wasn’t pretty. What I love about Kim is that she is so normal and honest.

There was also real tennis yesterday at the US open. Two more girls made it to the semi-finals. First there was Belgian teen Yanina Wickmayer who beat Katerina Bondarenko in straight sets 7-5 6-4. At least the Belgian girl was going for her shots so a deserved winner. Who would have thought at the beginning of the year that Belgium would have two semi-finalists again at this year’s open??? Wickmayer is surely talented but her route to the semi final was a fairly easy one. The only seeded player she beat was the number 19 Razzano in the first round. Her opponent in the semi’s will be Danish super talent Caroline Wozniacki who made an end to the dream run of Melanie Oudin. Oudin played not nearly as good as in her rounds before, probably tired, and Wozniacki does not make nearly as many errors as the Russian Army Oudin beat before. An easy 6-2 6-2 as a result. Wozniacki should make her first grand slam final on Friday.

The big news yesterday certainly was that Ellen DeGeneres will be replacing Paula Abdul and becomes the fourth permanent judge on American Idol. During audition rounds they will have a few rotating judges like Victoria Beckham, Shania Twain and Neil Patrick Harris. I think Ellen is a great choice, she is funny, caring and knows show business.

Rosie O’Donnel and Star Jones, former ‘The View’ enemies that now bond over their hatred of Barbara Walters might get their own reality show together. It will be a combination of Oprah and Gayle’s cross-country trip with bits of Paris Hilton and Nicole Ritchie’s Simple Life thrown in. I would so tune in for that!!! 

Speaking of Nicole Ritchie, she became a mother for the second time yesterday this time from a baby boy named Sparrow James Midnight Madden, what kind of name is that??? And Katherine Heigl, comedy movie actress and star of Grey’s Anatomy is adopting a baby girl from Korea called Leigh. She seems like a total bitch so I feel sad for the baby!!

Hitler and safe-sex

There has been a lot of commotion in the Netherlands about a safe-sex ad where two people are making love in a soft-core setting and focus and in the end the face of the man having sex turns into that of Hitler with the message ‘Aids is mass-murderer’. There are also posters with the face of Hitler and the same message. I thought it was a very powerful and great ad but most people(80%) at my parents’ local radio station thought it was inappropriate and so did my parents. Too many people here have been in some way badly harmed by Hitler’s politics and it brings back negative thoughts for many dutch people. Seeing Hitler pop up like that is for them to much. But they can’t avoid seeing Hitler period at certain TV-shows or magazines is my thought and why is this so much different. But the bigger issue for me is even though it’s a powerful ad, does it really make people have more safe-sex??

Yesterday two quarter finals were played on the women’s side in New York and the 2 winners were expected. Kim Clijsters beat Na Li from China with 6-2 6-4 in a pretty one-sided match. Li made way too many errors. The girl can play but on days like yesterday she goes for way too much. Kim played decent and that was more than enough to progress to the semi-finals. Her opponent will be Serena Williams who beat in-from Flavia Pennetta with 6-3 6-4. Serena played by far her best match yet this tournament and made great winners and hardly any unforced errors like in the earlier rounds. There were lots of fantastic rallies and on the baseline they were fairly equal. But Serena has that great serve, that gave her many free points. What a great semi-final. I really hope for Kim, but I think Serena will be too much for the new mommy.

Gay news; bigot actress fired, gay honor killing Turkey, gay man beaten in Canada

Patricia Marceri of ABC’s soap One Life To Live claims she as fired because her religious beliefs did not allow her to go along with a story-line that involved her son’s coming out. In the series she was a Latina mother who was positive about her son’s homosexuality and Patricia could not play that because of her beliefs. So basically she just got fired because she refused to do what she was supposed to do, not because she is religious. Who does she think she is, she was just an actress on the show.

A Turkish man goes on trial for the ‘honor killing’ of his own gay 26-year-old son. After the son told his dad about a relationship he had with a German-Turkish man, the dad first threatened him and then, a while after that, rented a car and killed him. The boyfriend of the  gay son also wants those who helped with the murder prosecuted. It’s one of the first gay ‘honor killings’ on record. For Islamic women this has been a problem for years and something I think deserves the hardest punishment there is. It’s just so unbelievable to me to kill your own kid only to ’save face’ in your community.

 A gay man was brutally beaten in the U.S. border town of Thunder Bay in Ontario. He was attacked by six to eight haters with bricks and suffered 15 fractures to his cheekbones, a broken eye socket, a broken jaw and a broken upper palate. He was with two friends who were approached by a man for a fire and after the man got aggressive and the group walked away more men came along and started making nasty sexual orientation comments. The victim started screaming loud after his friend got choked and his friends were able to get into a cab but the victim was too late. Those pieces of trash need a good couple years in prison, but no arrests have been made yet unfortunately.

US Open day 8

Yesterday’s round of 16 had two very interesting and exciting matches. The first was between 17 year old teen Melanie Oudin and Russian’s Nadia Petrova. The first set Petrova’s serve and hard groundstrokes were way too much for young Melanie who was was staying too far behind the baseline ending in a 1-6 first set. The second set was very evenly matched, Oudin started playing more aggressive with her forehand and Petrova started to make more errors. After Oudin won the set 7-6 I already expected what was gonna happen next. Petrova showed her mental midgedness and totally fell apart. This woman has all the tools to win slams except her confidence is way to weak. Oudin though showed great spirit and I gotta say I really like this girl. She is cute, spunky and her game has a special quality to it, rare in women’s tennis these days. With 6-3 she won the match and beat her 4th Russian giant in a row. 

Her next opponent should have been a Russian woman as well, named Svetlana Kuznetsova. She made almost 60 winners in her match against her opponent Caroline Wozniacki who made 16. But Svetlana also made a ton of errors and the more consistent player won yesterday after a dramatic 2-6 7-6 7-6. The young Danish girl is pretty and has a lot of talent, the only thing lacking in her game is a real weapon. But Jankovic does not have one either and she made it to number one in the world, so..

Gossip; Justin too hot for Turkey, Lindsay Lohan being funny or delusional

The sexy clip of Justin Timberlake and Ciara for their single ” Love, Sex, Magic” is deemed to hot for Turkish TV. The ethics board from Turkey deems it harmful for children growing up and bad for morality in general. I think the clip is fine for all hours but definitely for after 9 pm. Lindsay Lohan was either being really funny and able to make fun of herself or very delusional for wearing a “just say not to drugs” t-shirt. It’s like Madonna wearing an “I’m into older guys” t-shirt. Or Joan Rivers with a “just say no to plastic surgery blouse” Or Kirstie Alley with an……

The widower of British reality star Jade Goody, Jack Tweed, is back in trouble again. This good looks like such a sweet guy, nice brown eyes, a little feminine, skinny. But looks can fool. First he was sentenced for attacking a teenager with a golf-club, then  for assaulting a taxi-driver. A sentence that caused him to miss many precious moments with his then terminally ill wife and now he is being held into custody for rape. To think that if he would have played his cards right he could be one of Britain’s most treasured widowers. 

In my favorite potty-mouthed comedians book, Kathy Griffin talks about some plastic surgery and diet dramas in her life. As people that know her from earlier times can tell, she clearly had a nose job. She also had liposuction though that nearly caused her to die after complications. She also used extreme diet pills that are basically just speed. That reminded me of the TrimSpa stuff that Anna Nicole sponsored. I have always been fairly lean(still am( but for a while 5 years back I felt like 5 pounds to heavy so I used Trimspa for a month or so. That certainly had some energizer in it as well, I was really jittery from it and could not sleep well. After I stopped taking it my whole metabolism was out of wack for 6 weeks or so and I gained 15 pounds in that time. Thanks god eventually things got back to normal but that says something about those products.

US Open day 7

Yesterday was about one match only! Kim Clijsters against Venus Williams and what a dramatic and bizarre match it was. Kim started amazingly well and basically seemed like she never left. Made very little mistakes and Venus just wasn't in the match at all in that set. It was a very quick 6-0 for Kim with only 3 unforced errors. The second set was sort of the opposite of the first, Kim's timing was off and she missed easier balls and Venus started to play fantastic. The set went quickly to Venus with 6-0. I was very tired yesterday and only wanted to see a set and then go to bed early, but I could not get away from the screen. The third set had some fantastic rallies and I was amazed by Kim's movement and defense. Venus made some very silly errors at the net though. At 5-4 for Kim, Venus had 2 chances to even it out but Kim played great at the end of the match. Wow, it was worth staying up for!! Also fun to see how the crowd was rooting for Kim, while Venus is American. Same happened in Stanford a few years back when I saw them play live.

Kim will play Na Li from China who, unfortunately for me, beat Francesca Schiavone. The other quarter final will be between Serena Williams and Flavia Pennetta. Pennetta beat Vera Zvonareva 3-6 7-6 6-0 after a typical Zvonareva melt-down missing multiple match-points. Now I really hope that Pennetta can beat Serena (she has done it before) because I doubt Kim can beat Serena. So if Serena wins the next round I think she will win the whole thing and if she loses Kim has a great chance to win her second US Open title.

Yesterday the number 1 in the world Dinara Safina finally saw the end to her misery at this year’s US Open. After playing horrible tennis for 2 matches and still progressing, Petra Kvitova from the Czech Republic was too much for Safina with great aggressive play. With 6-4 2-6 7-6 the teen beat the number one in the world. But the real person that beat Safina was Safina herself this week, definitely after having three match points last night. Either Petra Kvitova, Yanina Wickmayer, Gisela Dulko or Katerina Bondarenko will be a semi-finalist of this years open. Who would have thought that?

Another upset yesterday was the win of American teen Melanie Oudin over Maria Sharapova 3-6 6-4 7-5. I love seeing the 17-year old’ s swinging forehand, a real joy to watch. Her serve still needs a lot of improvement but that has also been Sharapova’s problem since her injury. 21 double faults is just ridiculous. Sharapova sure tried to fight but Oudin was just to stable for her yesterday. Oudin will play Petrova for a place in the quarterfinals. Kuznetsova seems the most likely bet now for a final place to come out of that half of the draw, even though her form has been very lackluster since her win at Roland Garros. The bottom half is so much stronger!

The tattoo shop where Rihanna illegally tattooed employees has gotten a fine in between 200/2000 dollar because Rihanna does not have a license. Pretty pathetic, if Rihanna would not have been famous nobody would have cared. Hope she pays the bills for the tattoo shop though. I would get a Rihanna tat!! Well maybe not anymore but at the time I had my other 2 I would have.

A Brisbane morning show thought it was appropriate to ask Lady Gaga about the hermaphrodite rumors and asked her where they were at the “tiny penis issue” right now and if she was embarrassed about the speculations. Gaga answered that her beautiful vagina was offended and with selling 4 million records in 6 months she had not to be embarrassed about. Great answer!!

Modern parents try to share duties and that’s great, but some things should maybe just be left to women. A man in Sweden wants the ability to breast-feed his future children. For 3 months the student economics will be pumping his nipples in an attempt to make them produce milk. He will be pumping during lectures at school as well and the Swedish channel will be documenting him. How would this ever work??

You constantly hear anti-gay marriage supporters saying that gay marriage destroys their straight marriage. Well, after 5 years of legalized gay marriage in Massachusetts, the state’s divorce rates have plummeted to pre World War 2 numbers. And they have the lowest divorce rate in the country. So basically gay marriage saves opposite marriage!!

Anti-gay violence has increased in Rome a lot in recent months. This week escalating in the throwing of 2 bomb letters in a bar in the gay neighborhood of Rome. Several people were injured and one had to be taken to the hospital. Many people including the mayor of Rome are worried about this trend. One former PM goes as far as to say Rome is not a safe city for gay people anymore. Such a pity of a great city. I have to say that I did not notice anything anti-gay about Rome while I was there with my boyfriend but maybe the climate has changed in a few years.

Yesterday there were not that many surprises as the days before. Both Williams-sisters and Kim Clijsters won fairly easy in 2 sets making room for the highly anticipated match between Venus Williams and Kim Clijsters. I hope that Kim can pull through and considering their form it is certainly possible. But beating Venus at the US open is never easy so we will see what happens. Three semi-favorites of me went through to the last 15. Daniela Hantuchova, Flavia Pennetta( who has been playing some great tennis here) and Francesca Schiavone. Schiavone beat Viktoria Azarenka in three sets 4-6 6-2 6-2. And she really brought it, this woman has charisma and a very unique style. Lots of topspin or slice, great hands at the net and superb willpower. She really got under Azarenka’s skin who can play very well but only one-dimensional. As promised early on in the week I will predict the final 4 and winner of the tournament. It;s still very hard to pick though since no one has been a clear favorite so far. Safina against Sharapova in the first semi and Clijsters against Serena Williams in the second. Serena will probably win the tournament but from the quarter finals on she really has some very stiff competition. Biggest outsiders Kim Clijsters and Flavia Pennetta.

Farts!!

I saw an old episode of Sex and the City yesterday in which Carrie farted with mr Big in bed and thought that was the end of the relationship. Miranda did not think it mattered but Samantha did and she knows guys!! It got me wondering how that is with straight people. Do men find a farting women a turn-off??. And what do women think about farting men. I have never been ashamed to fart, never in a one-night stand and most definitely not with my partner. We never had issues with that, even tried who could let the worst one. I am the better farter and he is the better burper! Maybe that’s the easy thing about two men together.

US Open day 4

Yesterday there were 2 huge surprises at the Open. The number 4 seed Elena Dementieva and the number 5 Jelena Jankovic both lost. Dementieva blamed it on playing too much this summer and Jankovic on the passing of her grandmother a day before.

Jankovic lost against Jaroslava Shvedova from Kazakhstan 3-6 7-7 6-7 after having 2 match points in the final set. Shvedova is a very erratic player that can easily lose the next round 1-6 1-6 or win it with the same score . She plays very aggressive and has a great serve. A Jankovic in normal circumstances would have won this match though.

Elena Dementieva came to New York as a big favorite after having such a good US Open series but lost yesterday against american teen Melanie Oudin losing 7-5 4-6 3-6. Oudin is the only real hope for a top 10 player out of the US teens and she proved that yesterday by playing fearless. She reminds me of a little Justine Henin, only with less power. A nice technique and one-handed backhand, rare in women’s tennis these days. Demetieva gave it to her on a platter though with extremely bad serving and a faltering forehand. 

Not a good day for me with three of my semi-favorites bowing out, these 2 girls and Swiss Patty Schnyder who lost in straight sets against Sara Errani.

Gossip; Sex and the City, Chris Brown, Sarah Palin

Sex and the City has already caused quite a stir in New York. The security is so big it looks like the president is in town. At 7 in the morning fans are already trampling each other to get closer to Sarah Jessica Parker and the girls. Cynthia Nixon even had to be helped to her trailer and scenes were canceled for the day after fans got into fights. Maybe that was because her beautiful!! girlfriend was on the scene as well with her, haha.

Chris Brown shows what an asshole he is by being pissed at Oprah for having a show dedicated to abused women in honor of Rihanna. He thinks it was a slap in the face because all the stuff he did for her like performing at her school in Africa. He thinks she could have been more helpful towards him. WTF??? This little guy’s ego is way too big , maybe cleaning the streets for a year helps him a bit.

Levi Johnston had a fashion shoot/interview with Vanity Fair and told some interesting things about the Palin family. Mommy and daddy Palin do nothing in the household, but let the kids do everything. There was a lot of talk of divorce between Sarah Palin and her husband. To make pregnant Bristol look better Sarah wanted to adopt the baby and raise it as their own. After the elections Sarah often said she should just quit being a Governor and take the money that was offered to her for other things. And that is exactly what she did.

Busted for slapping unknown crying child

“I’ll give that kid something to cry about” is something someone near to me sometimes jokingly says after watching another kid behaving horribly while the parents do nothing. Well, pepaw Roger Stevens, 61, from Georgia really did what lots of people over the world have been thinking about. He slapped a 2-year old girl that was shopping with her mom at WalMart. After initially warning the mom that he “would shut the baby up for her if she would not do it herself”, he acted on his threat and slapped the kid 5 times in the face. He was arrested for felony cruelty against children and is in jail now. The kids is unharmed. While I am against hitting kids period this story made me laugh.Is that bad??? Then again if it was one of my nephews that a stranger would slap, I would hit that person so hard he would need stitches.

Woman done with sausage after seeing peen

British 54-year old Denise Woodard saw her neighbor playing with his penis in his backyard and that got her off men and sausages forever. Denise is fat, old, ugly, with glasses and extreme bushy eyebrows so I think the men are happy!! She saw this first back in 2008 and after she complained police put surveillance cameras and caught the man soon after. He was jailed for six weeks and is for 7 years on a sex offender list. And his wife left him. A little much for just some jerking off in your own backyard. Miss Woodard says she is on anti-depressants and sleeping pills after seeing this. Ok???

Gossip; Cranberries, Whitney Houston, McSteamy loves his coke

O’Riordan and the original members of the band will go on tour together where they will play music from Dolores’s new album and they will also write new stuff together.As a moody teen this music was my everything!! Now i like more upbeat dance music. So even though I grew up my taste in music goes down a year every year I get older, haha.

Talking about comebacks, Whitney Houston had her big comeback concert in Central Park for 5.000 fans this week for Good Morning America and she sounded like she ate clay the night before. Extremely husky but it was live at least. On the upside her new album will be the number 1 in the Billboard charts next week.

Eric Dane, Grey’s McSteamy, and his wife Rebecca Gayheart seem to really like their drugs. After the crack video that was made public last month now a source claims that they were snorting coke at a party in Hollywood a few years back. I am the last one to criticise people for doing drugs but I always have to think about the family of the boy that Gayheart killed while driving with a cellphone in her hands. Was she doing drugs back then?? Or maybe she started taking drugs to deal with the drama, that’s a possibility as well.

US Open day 3

Kim Clijsters

Day 3 had a few more upsets then previous days. One of them was only an upset in ranking though and one I was very happy about. Kim Clijsters beat French woman Marion Bartoli. I watched this match, point to point on the US Open website and I got a little nervous after the first set went to Bartoli 5-7. Kim quickly started playing much better though winning the second and third set easy 6-1 6-2. Bartoli of course had to prove again why all the other french girls dislike her by pulling out all the stops in bad behavior. Fake injuries, toilet-breaks, ridiculous challenges, but luckily Kim did not let this get to her. Another upset (not happy about this one) was seeing Amelie Mauresmo lose against Aleksandra Wozniak, 4-6 0-6. Wozniak can play great and beat almost anyone on a good day but this… Maybe time for Amelie to think about retiring, this is not worthy of her status. Other seeds falling were Samantha Stosur against american Vania King,( as I predicted Stosur played too much and was burned out during the Open) and Agnieska Radwanska against one of the hottest ladies on tour Maria Kirilenko.

Gay news; education leads to gay tolerance, Lil Mama, gay&Muslims

In Florida a study that was done after the passing of the anti-gay marriage Amendment showed that education was 5 times as important then race in support of gay marriage. It found that each additional one percent increase in bachelor’s degrees in a county correlated with one percent increase in support of gay marriage. Meaning education leads to greater tolerance. Not a surprise here, most anti-gay people are just dumb idiots. And now that is even factual.

Rapper and judge of America’s Best Dance Crew on MTV, rapper Lil Mama has issued an apology for grilling a transgender dancer from the fabulous groups Vogue Evolution a bit too much. She told Leiomy ,who was acting like a real bitch/diva behind the scenes that her behavior was unacceptable and is she was gonna become a woman she should behave like a lady. Lil Mama said her comments were never meant to be disrespectful to the transgender community and I totally believe her. I mean I love Vogue Evolution(can’t wait every week to see on YouTube what they have come up with) but Lil Mama was right here in the first place. Some gay groups want an apology for everything. She even said in a previous episode that it takes a transgender woman to bring to femininity of Beyonce. 

At a conference on Islam held in Indonesia, moderate Muslim scholars issued a statement calling homosexuality normal  and created by God. They say there is no reason to reject gays homosexuals under Islam and that the condemnation of homosexuality by Muslims is based on narrow-minded interpretations of the Koran. A small step in the right direction but right away 2 conservative Islamic groups responded by condemning gays. Still a very long if impossible way to go there.

Gossip; Sex and the City, Madonna, Kevin Federline

The second film of Sex and the City has just started filming in New York. I can't wait until it comes out. In the meantime I have bought the box with all the season to tie me over. Just started with season one and the first thing that strikes me is how old Sarah Jessica Parker looks now compared to season 1( at least she keep is natural and that is a huge plus in Hollywood now)Same goes for Will& Grace, both Jack en Will did not age well.

Speaking of which, Madonna is really overdoing it with the exercise. Her body is so ripped it's all muscles and veins. Not attractive for a woman. She fainted during her concert yesterday, once on stage and once off. According to sources it;s because of exhaustion. I also saw a report that she plans to run the six-day marathon des Sables in Morocco in April. Lady, you are in your 50's , some things are just not good for a woman of a certain age.

I saw new pictures of a semi-naked Kevin Federline and he looks like a cast-member of Roseanne. I knew he had gained a lot but seeing him in his swimming trunks just shocked the hell out of me. How can someone who is reasonably thin become obese in 2/3 years??. Gross and extremely unhealthy.

US Open day 2

Agnes Szavay

Day 2 had the same amount of seeds falling as day 1. Hungarian Agnes Szavay lost to Shahar Peer from Israel with 2-6 2-6. 2 years ago Szavay was a quarter finalist but since then a lot has changed. Peer is also a former quarter finalist, had 2 bad seasons and has found a little form this hard-court season. The fact that she beat Szavay was not a big upset, the easy score-line was though. Another woman desperately looking for her form is Ana Ivanovic. She lost yesterday against Katerina Bondarenko 6-2 3-6 6-7. Last year she was still the number 1 in the world at the US Open, this year she was not able to reach even 1 quarter final at a slam. Bondarenko is a tricky first round opponent but an Ivanovic in good form should win this in straight sets. Number 1 seed Dinara Safina played a horrible match in her first round against young Australian Olivia Rogowska. She won 6-7 6-2 6-4. Combined these ladies made 113 unforced errors against 38 winners. That says a lot about the quality. Rogowska was close to a 4-0 lead in the third set but crumbled under the pressure. Safina needs to pick it up against German Kristina Barrois, a woman with great hands and a unique technique in the next round if she wants to keep going.
